I’m pretty sure this has been an ongoing issue even before I got it. Towards the front of the crankcase, right of driveshaft coming out I noted a lot of oil buildup. I cleaned it up really to see if I could identify where it was coming from. It looks like there’s a seam where the two sides meet and that’s where leak is originating from.

From what I find in the service manual it doesn’t look like there’s a gasket here. So would anyone know how this seam prevents oil leakage? The next question is how would you correct this leak? I’ve read where you don’t want to use oil leak stopper as that will most likely cause slippage on your wet clutch. Any thoughts?

Thanks, Harrison

since they didn't use a gasket most likely they used a RTV sealant (liquid gasket)

The only solution i can think of is to take it apart, clean both gasket surfaces with brake clean and Rubbing alcohol works good at removing that stuff. and a razor blade is good for scraping paper or RTV gasket off.

I prefer to use Permatex Ultra black sealer. good up to 500 degrees F, https://www.permatex.com/products/gasketing/ultra-series-gasket-makers/permatex-ultra-black-maximum-oil-resistance-rtv-silicone-gasket-maker-4/

And for any surface that comes in contact with Gear oil i use https://www.permatex.com/products/gasketing/gasket-makers/permatex-gear-oil-rtv-gasket-maker/?locale=en_us

Oil leak is the one thing mine never had.. knock on wood... But I agree, separate the two , clean them up and use hi-temp RTV is the only solution.. unless the bolts are loose . might check that first

looking back at that picture again, it looks like someone put 3 allen head bolts in it. then above you can see a regular Hex head, weird.

you might check to be sure they're tight.

I need a pair of front shocks for a Landpride Treker 4200NT, from 2005?  Does anyone know of a good salvage yard - or another source?
The old shocks have "SEBAC 11685 12 3" stamped on them (or something very close - it's hard to read). I think SEBAC are (were?) an Italian company.
Is there a compatible shock I can use? I don't have easy access to a scrap yard where I can compare shocks etc.
      Thanks,
      -Kim

the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal

hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me

We recently purchased the Axis x550. Fueled it with 93 fuel and drove one time around the farm and the 02 fault error appeared. Any ideas?

Question, Does anyone know if a 700-cylinder, piston, and head fit on top of a 500-bottom end, Although I have a 500 and have rebuilt the 500 once, I'm thinking the lower end may be the same for both the 500 and the 700. Does anyone have information on that?
