I have a brand new Kawasaki Mule 4010 4x4 trans.  While driving it has a vibration/rattle coming from the box area that I can't seem to locate.  I've gone over the vehicle and all the connections associated with converting the vehicle from single to two bench are securely latched.  The tail gate is firmly latched and I don't notice any lose bolts.  Looking for clues to what is vibrating causing the rattle and how to correct.

Welcome to the UTV Board!

since its new I would get in touch with your dealer.\

also, i would put it in Neutral, and rev the engine, if the rattle doesnt happen, then its most likely and issue with the drive system.

Welcome to the forum!

I've got an older mule 3010. That thing has always rattled since it was new. Mostly the trailer hitch, when the bar is installed. But I agree with Travis. If it bothers you then it's a dealer/warranty issue. When it needs to go back for the first scheduled warranty maintenance. I'd have them look at it then.

I've identified that the rattle is coming from the hinge for the tailgate.  It only makes the rattle/vibration at mid range RPMs.  If I jam a piece of flexible rubber mat into the jam of the tailgate it stops the vibration form occurring.  A permanent fix would be a rubber or plastic bushing inside the hinge to prevent it from happening.  I'll inquire with the dealer and see what they want to do for a fix.  Thanks for the responses.

Don't know if they'll work on that. Since it's just exactly like it was designed. However, if you give them some ideas that're easy. Like taking the pin out, and giving it a smack right in the middle with a hammer. Like how you fix a household door that creaks/swings by itself. Giving it just enough warp to hold it tight.

Not familiar with the new design, I have no idea if that's even reasonable. But it might work. Maybe grease the hinge pin?

If it's too much end play, maybe you could find a nylon washer at Lowe's? You wouldn't even need to pull the pin. You could just split the washer, and  push it in place in the gap at the end. Even if it wasn't end play, that might put enough pressure on the pin to quieten it down.

I just purchased a used 2023 Massimo warrior UTV SxS 1000mx with 600 miles on it. I didn't even get a full day of riding and the driver's side rear axle broke. I'm pretty sure it was already going bad because we would hear a noise once in a while. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with theirs. Also looking for places to buy accessories.

I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 I bought brand new almost 2 years ago the first month I had it the exhaust broke and burnt the spark plug wire in two that was a recall so the dealership installed the new one it had a different design and it bolted up to the bottom two plugs below the spark plug the dealership said they had to Adjust the exhaust valves I get the machine back thanking everything is good now wrong not even a week after I get it back the timing chain tensioner comes apart inside the motor I take it back to the dealership They put one on I get the machine back thanking everything is good but then just like before not even a week goes by when I was riding the Machine automatically quits going come to find out the wet clutch was burned up the primary clutch head stripped off of the splines I get that fixed and then  it overheats I take it back they bleed the air out of the coolant they bring it back to me the same day that I get it back it overheats again I take it back they temporarily fix it again just enough to let the warranty run out and now the machine has been to multiple different mechanics I have had them try to bleed the air out they have stood it up on its end I have had the water pump changed I have had the fan hooked to a switch so I could leave it on all the time but still almost 2 years later not even 200 hours on the machine and I cannot ride it The dealership will not take it back as a lemon I have tried I am at my wits end I have no clue what to try next

My buddy has a ut400 that the forward gear keeps popping out of gear. She only has like 400 miles on the odometer .the shift cable has been adjusted and the shift lever has been updated / modified. All other gears are good. Is there an internal detent cam or something that wears out or shift fork that can be replaced ? Or is there some other magic that I can perform ? Looks like the engine needs to be split.

the regen braking on my e1 has stopped working unless (for eg) I am going down a hill in low and it's slowing things down to stick to the 10kph limit. when I drive and take my foot off the accelerator it's not initiating the regen to slow things down and instead just coasts at whatever speed it is at, or speeds up as the regen is not limiting it. the brake lights work, so it's probably not a fault with the sensor on the brake pedal

hoping someone else might be able to provide some suggestions on things to check, as the mob that I bought it off seem to have gone silent on me
