William Lyons Posted September 28, 2020 #1 Posted September 28, 2020 I have changed the plug, changed the fuel injector, drained the fuel tank looking for water, replaced the coil , checked out the wiring on top of the fuel tank looking for bad connection . The UTV will sputter but will not start. Any ideas will be helpful!
Travis Posted September 28, 2020 #2 Posted September 28, 2020 Engines need 4 things to start, 1. Fuel 2. Air 3. compression 4. Spark (at the correct time). i would start by removing the air filter, and spray starting fluid or carburetor cleaner straight into the air intake, then try to start it, if it fires up, then dies, you have a fuel issue. It could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter also. 1
William Lyons Posted October 3, 2020 Author #3 Posted October 3, 2020 After trying several things suggested with no help, I removed the new fuel injector and installed the original injector. No luck so I removed the injector and held it above the fuel port and the UTV started. Does this sound like too much fuel or a problem with the injector?
