How are you guys hooking up your 12v pumps?  I want something quick and safe for my electrical system without running wire all the way up front to the pulse bar.

I don't want to use alligator clips on the battery either.

Thanks

I know that I am thinking of a pigtail, with an online switch, to quickly un hook the cord and remove the sprayer quickly.

That's the way mine is hooked up. I rarely carry the sprayer anymore. But it uses the same plug as on my battery maintainer. So I plug that in through the sprayer plug every day. And with it there in the back, I'll always have 12v fused access to power. Handy for utility lights too.

Keep meaning to instal a fuse block though. If I add one more thing to the electrical system, I won't have any choice. My battery terminal is maxed out.

Thanks that is what I was looking for.  Those plugs, are they common or polaris prioritised?

The one on the more popular battery maintainer. At least the ones that I've seen, are the two pronged flat plug. Commonly sold at any auto parts

You can buy a decent harness, already wired with ring terminals, and a fuse. It's the harness sold by the battery tender types, as an accessory. They have em at Wallyworld, in the automotive battery section. Or the motorcycle section.

Thanks you saved me some. Searching!

I put an inline switch in the  circuit, mounted behind the seat. So I'd have a good way to cut power instantly. Without having to pull the plug, I just reach back and throw the switch. Handy for portable lighting too.

I put a switch  near the battery and it is a push pull switch and it is near the middle behind legs, beneath the front of the seat.

I mounted my sprayer with the Trimble easy boom and easy steer and then I ran a pressure gauge in the cab.  The Trimble system is controlled by a plug-in to the 12 V cigar lighter place on the dash

Nice sprayer set-up! Mine isn't near as nice, it's just a sprayer tank made for a 4 wheeler rack. But it sprays what I need.

I started with a direct, wired to the battery harness. You've seen these same ones at Walmart, in the battery section. They have 2 ring terminals, and a 2 wire flat connector. And it's easily made from scratch. Mine came with the charger, so I just used that.

I took that simple harness, and added a fuse, and a switch. Mounted the switch behind the seat. Routed the wire so the flat plug comes out behind the bottom of the back window. Just above the rim of the bed. When the sprayer or whatever, is used, it has the same plug.

Mine is first, and foremost, to keep the battery maintainer connected anytime it's parked in the barn. But it's also a direct, fused, switched circuit, for direct battery access. Suitable for any 12v needs  and accessible from the bed.

Extra 2 wire flat plugs are easily found in any auto parts electrical section. So you can literally hook up anything 12v. Plus you should always have a battery maintainer anyway. Works very well for anything 12v. you want to plug in.

I need a pair of front shocks for a Landpride Treker 4200NT, from 2005?  Does anyone know of a good salvage yard - or another source?
The old shocks have "SEBAC 11685 12 3" stamped on them (or something very close - it's hard to read). I think SEBAC are (were?) an Italian company.
Is there a compatible shock I can use? I don't have easy access to a scrap yard where I can compare shocks etc.
      Thanks,
      -Kim

I have a 2023 Tracker 800SX LE that I want to add a sway bar to.
The service manual shows how to remove and reinstall the sway bar.
I called Cabela's to try and get the saw bar.   They said they can't get one and the 800SX doesn't have one!!??  Then why is it listed in the service manual?? No answer from them.
Have any of you found a saw bar that fits and what did it cost?

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.

Okay everyone, need some help here. I got my 2014 Bennche Bighorn 700 from my father inlaw. He has had it since new and as far as I know never had any problems with it until recently. It began with it being hard to start and having to give it some throttle for it to start up. Then it wouldn't stay running once it did start. If you go to start it, it will fire right off and only run for a split second and then die. If you give it some throttle it will start and stay running as long as your foot is on the pedal. While it's running its pretty rough and backfires. Here is a list of everything I've done so far. Initially I checked compression and it was low. I changed the cylinder, piston and rings. Took the head apart cleaned and laped the valves. Checked timing a few times. Adjusted the valves. New spark plug. Checked the air filter, it was fine. New battery. Changed the fuel pump because of a broken fitting. Changed the fuel filter, lines and fuel injector. Dumped the old fuel and put new in. Changed the air idle control, TPS, MAP sensor, Voltage Regulator, ECU and harness. I was getting codes 31, 107, 113 and 122 on the display. Once I changed the ECU no more codes have been displayed but still have the same issues. All fuses look good and as far as I can tell Grounds are good unless there are some I can't find. I'm at a loss here. Not really sure where to go. Compression was better after everything I did but I don't remember the numbers. I'll have to check it again if someone thinks that could be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
