2017 cub cadet challenger 550. 4x4 and front diff lock won’t engage

Recommended Posts

I have a 2017 challenger 550 that will not go into 4 wheel drive. I’ve checked fuses, all are good, when I turn the key to on, and press the 4x4 button I can hear the actuator running , the front tires in the dash indicator light up as though it is engaged, but no 4 wheel drive. When I activate the front diff lock I can also hear the actuator but it does not show the x in the front axle on the dash. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I needed to use the 4 wheel drive on my Challenger and it would not engage. I checked all the fuses and they are good. With the key in the on position and machine not running I can hear the actuator run when the switch is pressed, and the indicator on the dash lights up but it does not go into 4 wheel drive. The front diff lock actuator runs when it is pressed but the indicator x does not show up on the dash, any suggestions should be appreciated!

I have a 2017 Intimidator XD4 800cc 4x4.  It will run great and then it's like it goes into safe mode and only runs on 1 cylinder.  It's not fouling out the plug when it happens.  Some times when I stop and restart it, it works fine.  First I thought it was a spark issue, then a fuel issue, but I feel like it's a short in the wiring some place.

spits fuel from breather hose into the air cleaner and then down into carb.  What’s causing this ??

I’m getting a 700-7 every startup. I’m having to change the plug every 100 miles on 93 octane gas. I got a lower numbered plug that is supposed to burn hotter. I’m wondering why that comes up every time I start it and if it’s related? I included a picture of the code or whatever it is. I haven’t seen the code in the owners manual or the hisun shop manual I have.

      Hi
I have a 2022 hisun sector eps 550. 30amp fuse is blown for eps. Checked the motor and it’s fine. Opened up the controller and found a bad diode. Dealer wanted 500$ for the controller. Just posting this in case it helps someone. I couldn’t read numbers from the old one so just took a guess and replaced it with a 100v 3amp diode.

I generally use my challenger for light duty misc. use, and for plowing. The one thing I dislike about this machine is the difficulty in shifting. I've had it the shop and they adjusted the shifting lever, but I still have issues. Some times it shifts ok, but the problem is it is hard to get it to move the lever from high to reverse or low to high or from any gear to the other. Seems I always have to accelerate a little to get it to engage to what gear I need it to go to. This is definitely not normal.
