Hey all, 

Looking to possibly purchase a 2008 Renegade 4 seater, 11000 miles.  asking $5,000 I know nothing about these machines, they seem pretty decent. Hard to find any info on them even on youtube. Anyone had any advice, or things to look at before buying? Thanks in advance!

You need to take it for a drive of course.  Check for electrical short.  Gauges may cycle off and on.  Original rocker switches are prone to corrosion.  Moisture seems to be the biggest enemy of this model year.  If everything works ok, then negotiate your best price and buy it.  A new Joyner Renegade 1100 4 seater at gokartsusa.com is currently 11,975.  You can get an owners manual at joyner-usa.com.  I have a 2008 T2 1100.  I have replaced all of the rocker switches.  Parts are out there you just have to have patience to find the right part when needed.  My T2 will climb anything.  I live in the desert so moisture is not an issue for me.  Previous owner lived on the coast.

I also have a Joyner Renegade.  It's a 2014 year model R2 (2-seat version).  Bought it 3 yrs ago for $7k.    2014 is the first year they started putting the 1100cc engine in it.  I don't have first hand knowledge of the early models but when researching for my machine, I've read that there were many quality control issues with Joyner machines.  The Trooper and Renegade uses an automotive style engine, clutch and 5-speed transaxle.  These engines are quite reliable - John Deere put the 800cc engine in their 825i and even Kawasaki (Japanese manufacturer) put the same engine in one of their SxS models.  The Chery engine is used in many lesser known brands of SxSs.  This machine isn't designed to take a high speed jump off a ramp; it's a utility vehicle that may be more at home on a farm or easy trail riding.  The weak point seems to be the bolts that hold the ring gear in the differential.  You can put in higher grade bolts.  I like my ride.  I've never had an issue with mine except the brake master cylinder - replaced it a few months ago.  Some parts are available on Amazon.  You may have to do a lot of your own repair work as service and parts are hard to find.  My opinion is the $5k price is too high for a "well used condition" which imples some hidden issues.  Check you state laws on street legal SxS.  AZ allows them as does many other western sates (some with severe restrictions).

      I want to ditch my Kubota RTV-XG850 and its moronic twitchy throttle design flaw, get rid of the problematic engine and the 40 mph purposely throttled speed.
      So far, I'm looking at the Honda Pioneer 1000 and the Polaris Ranger 1000, both of which have 1000-1500 lb payload bed capacity.
      What other makes and models should I be looking at?

      Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
      I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
      If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

      Looking for information on installing a OBD port or a lite to read codes in ECM. 
      I can not find a OBD port or a lite to read codes on this R2 with 800cc. 
      I have code readers and adapters for most ATV's. From what I've found so far. They don't have a connection for to read codes. I may be wrong. That's why I'm asking. 
      This R2 has had new IAC, TPS, MAP, fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump replaced. This was done by neighbor to try to stop surging. It still surges on start up and then settles down. But once you hit the accelerator it revs up to 2000+ rpm and stays till you block off IAC port in throttle body with finger. Once you do that it once again settles down and idles perfectly.
      I want to know what the ECM is reading to help dio it.
      This joyner is the first one I've run across. Well second one in a week. (my neighbors 2 of them) The other was a trooper with the 1100cc chery motor that had been setting for years. After cleaning up the fuse box connections. It runs like a top. Had to replace all gages with aftermarket gages. Water, oil, gas, amp. Only problem one was the water temp using original sending unit. Had to install 150 ohm resistor on the input wire to get it to read correctly + - 5 degrees. Close enough. Gas sending unit was/is for a boat tank 6" tall. All SS so it should last forever.

      Ive searched and cannot find any performance parts that fit my machine.
      I have a 2020 coleman ut400.
      Im looking for machined sheave kit, programmers, cdi, exhaust and intake.
      I know these are yamaha rhino clones but are they rhino 450 clones?
       
      Any info is appreciated.
