2017 KYMCO 450i SxS Engine problem?

Machine has a clatter / rattle at start-up, lacks power and doesn't run very well.  A mechanic I talked with has just repaired another KYMCO with similar symptoms and the cam shaft had a flat lobe. Anyone else have or know of this soft cam issue?  Getting parts right now is also a problem.

The cam follower's "slipper pad" was the problem in some units I worked on.  The cam was ground square but the rubbing pad mating surface was NOT parallel .  Result was the valve spec gap went from zero on one side to excessive on the opposite side.   Think of a well abused grinding wheel before truing it back up.  High contact pressure OR a lubrication problem failure.  Check head for blocked oil passages.  Seen silicone sealant "goobers" from previous repairs get  chopped up in the oil pump only to block off oil passages.  Check for above.

      I have a 2022 hisun sector eps 550. 30amp fuse is blown for eps. Checked the motor and it’s fine. Opened up the controller and found a bad diode. Dealer wanted 500$ for the controller. Just posting this in case it helps someone. I couldn’t read numbers from the old one so just took a guess and replaced it with a 100v 3amp diode.

      2021 Massimo MSU 800 will not run above 20 MPH

      While driving the MSU 800, it runs good but it lately it will not go over 20 MPH. The side by side will hesitate when it reaches 21 MPH, but it will run good under 20 MPH. What is the issue?

      No crank issue

      2007 Hisun HS700  will not crank.  Replace the ignition switch. Same thing.  Replaced solenoid by the battery same thing. Can jump it and it starts good across the solenoid posts. Ran a jumper wire from switch to solenoid. Nothing 
       
      can anyone suggest something else.

      As with any forum you join, there is a requirement for an obligatory introduction... and that seems fair. How else do you get that first post in there without jumping in with some stupid question right out of nowhere?

      Hi. I'm Space Ghost. Well, not really, but that was my call sign on my last deployment before an IED made me non-deployable, and I an now retired/disabled, and living on my wonderful VA disability. I did almost 28 years in total between the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. 1 deployment with the Reserve (Desert Storm) and 3 with the Guard (1 pre, and 2 post 9/11)

      Married (going on 30 years) one of each. (both out of the nest)
       
      Just picked up my first side by side a couple days ago. A 2020 Can-Am Defender HD10 DPS 6x6. 

       
      It's in pretty good shape, but as you can probably tell, it's sitting a bit high. Former owner put a lifting collar on the shocks. 

       
      The good = almost 17" of ground clearance. (30" tires) 
      The bad = incredibly steep driveline angles, and a pretty stiff ride. 
       
      They will be coming off. 
       
      Other than that... clean as a pin and appears very well maintained. 
       
      Looking forward to seeing what this forum can bring, and hoping I can bring something in return.

      Challenger 750 flywheel issue

      I own a 2017 Challenger 750 and had the key way snap at the flywheel. It was removed and cleaned up and then the  flywheel was put back on with a new keyway. It snapped a second time so the flywheel and keyway both were replaced. They both seem to fit nice and tight. Put it all back together and it snapped again. I have no idea why it is doing this.
