On the E1s I am currently converting to Li ion in the UK, some have real mud problems. This isnt restricted to Hisuns but the Polaris Rangers do as well.
The E1 I have just finished had around a barrow load of the stuff under the floor and around the batteries and the side panels. The floor pan under the battery area had had the front edge bend down and was acting like a scoop. So much stuff. The propshaft was completely surrounded by dirt.
I would really suggest to users that they take up the tunnel in the front floor and periodically clear this area. Take the sides off and clear out all the mud and debris you can see.
This one was exceptional. I had problems reprogramming the charger as the USB flap on the drivers side of the charger had come out and filled with mud. So do check this, blow it out and tape the cover down.
This one was so bad and likely to be so again so I have made polycarbonate sheet deflector shields on the front and sides of the charger . The charger fan also didnt work and gave an error as the mud was in the connections and had corroded the fan spade terminals. So just keep an eye out for floor pan damage, and do periodic clear outs.
Dont pressure was the motor, or the Sevcon  DC to DC or the Charger.
Its also easier  to get the muck out if you drop the steel floor panel. This uses M6 screws , but has an exceptionally small 8mm head, So I have changed these for some m6 shouldered bolts. I also replaced the cross head screws holding the side panels underneath as these get so corroded that you cant get them out.

I've noticed they are mud magnets too. And there are about a thousand grease nipples on the driveshaft that you can't get to unless you're a contortionist with very small hands. I've considered dropping the floor panel to service mine properly, but without a lift it's a pain to do. My current biggest headache is getting suspension parts, as the track rod ends and half the front suspension bushings have given up. At least the dealer's managed to get replacements under warranty, although I'll have to fit them myself. Great little machine spoiled by poor attention to detail!

Take the time to change the m6 horrid cross head screws that hold the side panels underneath. Once the head is unusable, having  the nice dome head you cant grip them to undo. I have had to cut flats on either side to get them out, I change these for m6 screws with either flange heads or larger washers. Do it while you can you wont regret it. Same with the awful m6  8mm head bolts on the under pan.

I generally use my challenger for light duty misc. use, and for plowing. The one thing I dislike about this machine is the difficulty in shifting. I've had it the shop and they adjusted the shifting lever, but I still have issues. Some times it shifts ok, but the problem is it is hard to get it to move the lever from high to reverse or low to high or from any gear to the other. Seems I always have to accelerate a little to get it to engage to what gear I need it to go to. This is definitely not normal.

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.

Recently I had an overheating issue on my 2022 Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun UT550) and to check to make sure it was fixed I took it out for a ride around the block. After a couple cycles on the LED coolant meter, I took it for a couple mile ride and on my way back I heard a loud metallic snap then a grinding noise. It was still able to move under its own power but very slowly. I was about 2 blocks from the truck so 'I limped it home and up onto the trailer. I know I need to tear it apart and look for what broke, but anyone have a guess as to where to start? I'm seriously getting tired of this damn machine! 750 miles on it and already replaced the belt, wet clutch, primary clutch, clutch roller weights among a few other things. Seriously, this friggin machine has spent more time on the lift than on the road. I thought I bought this new because it was from the owner of a tractor supply, but he registered it under the stores name making me the 2nd owner voiding any and all warranties.
Any Ideas what to look for would be appreciated.
      Thanks
