Hello All,

I know this sounds strange but I've had most of this machine apart and putting back together again and I have NOT found the fuse box. Every Manual that I have access to says to Open the hood, take the top off the battery box and you'll find the fuse box. It's Not there in fact I Cant even find the three Connecters that would be used from the wiring harness. At least looking for what is listed as the correct Replacement part for this. Hoping that someone can make me feel Old and Feeble by coming up with some simple spot that I Swear I've already looked at but just did not see the Box.

Thank you all for even looking at this and maybe getting a small Chuckle.

Hello Travis,

Sorry I've been tied up and just got back to checking out my machine, following what you mentioned. I can't say that your idea alone lead to the answer but it got me in looking, Focused on just this task and not fitting it in among a bunch of other tasks. You got me in the right place and I took a closer look at a unit under the hood, near the battery box that someone before me had tagged as a CDI box. Why I read that tag and let it go at that I will Never understand, but I did just that. This time I looked at the Unit and notice the 4 screw holding a cover on the box, which cover the FUSES. Talk about feeling like a fool. Making myself try to focus on ONE issue at a time.  Now I'll go back and Focus on my problem with the EFI system, No fuel to the engine.

I Thank you for taking the time and responding to my posting because you did help me get this settled.

Again thank you and have a good night,

Robert

As far as your EFI issue, these machines are meant to run on 93 premium fuel that is ethanol free, most owners don’t realize it or don’t want to pay the higher costs. Then they let the unit sit for an extended period, most times I find the fuel injectors actually rusted. Best bet is change the injectors and run premium fuel.

Hello,

I apologize for taking a while to get back to you, Fall projects have kept me away from my SxS project. I thank you for the heads up about the fuel, I had been made aware of this by another person. I got this as a basket case so the type of fuels not been an issue so far. I have tested and the injector power supply and that is ok but testing for any fuel output shows No fuel comes out as either a spray or stream. I have replaced the injector and the ECM module and not having any Diagnostic equipment beyond a Volt meter I am about to replace the O2 unit as this is listed as one of many possible failure points for the EFI system. I'll post if I start to make any gains in this project.

Thanks again for your input on this,

Hello, All!  I've decided to replace the traction batteries in my 2018 Sector E1 with a 48V Lithium set. They may be expensive, but I figure the Discovery Dry Cell are, too. I am not looking for the max driving range, as I have never received near the brochured range to begin with, but a good mix of charge/ get work done/ charge is what I am expecting.
I have settled on the 48V EAGL kit from bigbattery dot com. Each battery pack provides 30Ah. The kit ships with a charger, as well. The packs would be physically connected in parallel (using a busbar) to one another, maintaining the 48V voltage, but together would be able to provide the amp draw the buggy pulls when going up hill or towing a rake (rated 320 max continuous Amps). This is in comparison to the serial connection the eight 6V lead batteries. Each of the EAGL batteries looks to have its own BMS; am I correct in thinking I will have to use their included charger rather than (simply) changing the onboard charger to lithium mode? The chemistry of the pack is LiFe PO4, for what it's worth.  I haven't torn anything apart yet (to diagram), so  I am not sure how the dash will interpret the AMP draw, but the kit I am looking at includes a dash mounted charge indicator.
If anyone has completed a similar conversion, do you have any tips? Specifically, how did you remove the original batteries, and how did you secure the new ones? I am guessing that almost any change from the stock batteries would involve at least some modifications. Any tips would be appreciated, especially things I may have failed to consider. Thanks!

I have a 2012 Bennche Bighorn 700X.  I bought it used.  It had been sitting in a field for several years untouched.  I put a new sun gear in the shifter, new shifter linkage due to the old one having been patched, and a new battery (and of course fresh fuel).  The machine cranked and ran beautifully.  I had it over a year and then the machine quit running.  As it would not stay cranked, I narrowed the problem down to a bad IAC valve.  I replaced it and it ran as good as new/old.  Fast forward, the machine started to act like reverse wasn't catching and would not always back up when in gear.  Then forward quit.  I assumed a bad CVT belt and got one.  Started removing the bolts from the cover and (3) just turn in the housing without coming loose.  (2) are on the bottom, so very little room to do anything with them.  I tried cranking the machine again to see the belt move since I can move the cover enough to see the belt and now the machine will not crank.  It turns over fine.  It gets gas to the injector and has spark.  I can spray cleaner down her throat and she would run until it ran out.  I have replaced the IAC twice and put a new injector with no change.  I went out and put the old injector back in to see if that made any difference and, well, it did.  I tried to crank the machine and the starter is stuck trying to turn the machine over even with the key off.  I have to disconnect the battery to stop it.  Before I shoot this thing, what am I missing?  Is this an ECM problem or something else I am not seeing?  Been dealing with these Gremlins for over a month now and weeds are starting to overtake the motor due to it not moving.  I would love to get the thing running first and any ideas of getting those CVT cover bolts out would be extremely helpful.  Thanks in advance.

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.

I'm having trouble finding a replacement battery for my UT400.  Has anyone bought one and where did you get it?  Thanks.

Recently I had an overheating issue on my 2022 Coleman Outfitter 550 (Hisun UT550) and to check to make sure it was fixed I took it out for a ride around the block. After a couple cycles on the LED coolant meter, I took it for a couple mile ride and on my way back I heard a loud metallic snap then a grinding noise. It was still able to move under its own power but very slowly. I was about 2 blocks from the truck so 'I limped it home and up onto the trailer. I know I need to tear it apart and look for what broke, but anyone have a guess as to where to start? I'm seriously getting tired of this damn machine! 750 miles on it and already replaced the belt, wet clutch, primary clutch, clutch roller weights among a few other things. Seriously, this friggin machine has spent more time on the lift than on the road. I thought I bought this new because it was from the owner of a tractor supply, but he registered it under the stores name making me the 2nd owner voiding any and all warranties.
Any Ideas what to look for would be appreciated.
      Thanks
