quiet muffler

I was just wondering if anyone has tried different mufflers? We have alot of hunters (including myself) in the area and everyone wants a quiet muffler for the Trooper and the Renegade. We were just going to get a couple of auto mufflers and slip on the back to see what it would sound like but if someone else has messed with this, it may save us some money or at least give us a place to start. Also wanted to say thanks for alot of info and imput from everyone.

This has just been posted on another site:

I took a couple of pictures of my muffler set up. Send me an email message at [email protected] and I'll send them to anyone who wants them. The design and work was done by Chris Zinn a fellow Trooper owner in Tucson. He did a great job and we've had no trouble with either Trooper. The mufflers are from Joyner and were made for the 1100cc engine.

Apart from that there are several members here that have done just that even including leenanj that can help you with that so stand by for an overflow of info. If you go into the gallery or click on their names below , there are a couple of photos showing the upgrade. One from 4x4x454 and looks like rocmoc has done something too.

Cheers Mike

I got an old 2003 Arctic Cat 375 Auto, and just bought a 2008 AC 650 side by side. Got a new starter, solenoid, and battery for the 650. Gonna change the crankcase oil and filter while I'm at it.
Anything I oughta watch out for from them that's done the starter/solenoid on this model?
Don't have a manual yet for the 650. Any recommendations for oil weight/grade?
      Thanks.

Apparently, these are Hisun or at least they use Hisun engines. I can't find much info on them online yet.  Ran across a used one with just 100 miles on it as a very reasonable price.  Just curious.
Okay, more info...they are owned by Textron Corp who also owns Bell Helicopter, Cessna & Beechcraft aircraft, Ez-Go & Cushman and Arctic Cat and a bunch of other companies.
So are thy cheap Chinese crap machines or are they good to go?

I’m new to this forum and hope I can find some advice.  I have a year unknown Landmaster LM650 with original Subaru 650 motor.  I want to put a muffler silencer on it.  Has anyone done this with good success and, if so, can you tell me which brand and model you used. TIA

just an update on my MSU 500 . For all the misery it caused me the first 2 yrs, and the combination of some quality YAMAHA parts, it has now become a reliable ,useful UTV without the constant fear of having to push or tow it back from trails. I have not had a single issue pop up in a very long time.. FINALLY!....and as a side note, I just bought  a C FORCE 600 ATV to replace an old and well used  Honda that finally after 18 yrs gave up a rod bearing.  So far the new one has really impressed me .. I like the new Power Steering and  this CVT Auto Trans is new to me on an ATV .. I m used to constant shifting on my Hondas .  It also has something I have never seen. Its EBS  engine brake system, as soon as you let go of throttle, it engine brakes you to a stop rather quickly.. its great idea for the grandkids safety . Takes a little getting used to tho.. All in all, I like it. We shall see how durable it is after break-in.. I do "RIDE" them! .....and they honor their warrenty! and the dealer is 15 minutes away..
