Got a practically new (but used) 2021 Buck 450.

Tried out the winch to move a log, and realized quickly it is really awkward without a remote to be able to watch the winch as you roll it up or let it out. Was it supposed to come with a remote?  Or do you just let it out and pull it in blindly from the dashboard control?

my 500 came with a remote w/10ft cable .. no winch control on dash.     winch works well but it will drag UTV to the object if its heavy  instead .. Plugs in  in front of shifter on lower dash panel with hanger for remote next to it

Mine didn't come w/ a remote either.  So I ordered one of these off of amazon.  It matched perfectly.  Plugged directly into what was there.   Good luck.

Which Model Massimo UTV do you have?  Plugged into what? The Buck 450 has no connector for a remote as far as I can see.

I have the 410 buck.   The relay box that they sent plugged right into the winch relay box on the utv.  .    Remote came w/ a key fob to run it from the side or you can run the winch from inside the utv.

Unfortunately for the Massimo Buck 450 there is no factory winch remote and no port installed for adding a remote.

I've looked and tried to find any access to the in/out wiring for the Buck 450. I see no way to attached an aftermarket remote to the winch. The control leads are not exposed anywhere as far as I can find. Looks like they go from the sealed relay control box to the dash switch almost entirely sealed in the wiring harness. Anyone have any ideas how to do a winch remote connection on the Buck 450  without slicing into the main wiring harness? The winch switch is the leftmost in the photo.  Looks like the wiring is heat shrinked to the terminals and it's virtually impossible to get to the back of the switch anyway. This photo was taken from the passenger side wheel well  reaching as far as I could with my phone between everything that's in the way.

Looking for suggestions and if anyone has added a remote to the BUck 450, please share your knowledge.

I haven't tried this yet, but seems the Massimo T-Boos 550 comes with a wireless remote winch receiver already installed in the winch control box. Some owners have purchased a winch remote from Amazon and reprogrammed the remote transmitter to match.  It's a simple process to pair the remotes.  Hoping the Buck 450 has the same setup.

Here's an example :

I'm going to try this and I will let everyone know the results.

If this link works correctly open it and you will see a square black box that says liebmaya on it.    When I got this kit from amazon I looked at my winch on my 410 and in the wheel well or close to it was this black square box.  I opened and removed it from my utv and installed the new one.   Wires matched, it was all the same box.   It worked flawless.  My utv was sold w/ a remote for the winch.. however I bought it used and the owner had lost the remote.

It is not hard to use the remote winches for our trucks and cars but the remote winches are so expensive, So the people think twice when buy it but i have something very easy for you to know about the advantages and disadvantages of remote winches.

I bought a used 2021 Axis 500 last April.  Low mileage and got it for considerably less than what they go for new.
The first thing I did was change the oil/fluids and also put a new drive belt on it.  The only other thing I did to it was add a rear vinyl window that zips open and rolls up to keep the weather off.
I used it on my 52 acre property to check trail cameras, service the food plots, haul fertilizer, seed etc etc. It's has a good size bed and is not too big or small.  It has worked well as a utility vehicle.
Other than using on the trails working around the property I haven't used it much off road...at least until last weekend when I went on 74 mile group ride around the county. In my state it's legal to ride on any road that's not a state or federal highway. The group started in town, rode about 30 miles on back roads to the state ORV trail system. Then did about 20 miles on the trails and then headed back via back roads to town.
It had rained for 2 days straight prior, so the trails were one mud hole after another.  It was very challenging.
      The good...
-It worked fine, never had any kind of issue with it since I bought it.
-It kept up with more expensive machines on the trails. I was the only one with a CCC (Cheap Chinese Crap) machine.
      -Fairly comfortable to drive.
-The roof, windshield and rear window kept most of the rain off when it started raining in the afternoon.
-Okay, I cheated. I peeled off the AXIS 500 stickers on each side. Everybody in the group assumed I had a Rhino. They didn't ask, I didn't tell.
      The not so good...
-The horsepower rating on the 500-cc engine is 24 hp but it seemed underpowered. While I could go about 35 mph with the pedal to the metal on pavement and hard packed dirt roads the best I could do on loose packed roads was 27 mph. I had trouble keeping up with the others in the group.  It also bogs down on inclines in high gear.  On the other hand, in low gear and 4wd I didn't have any problems going through mud or sand or up hills.
-It is LOUD! Had to wear shooting earmuffs to keep my ears from ringing while riding. Going to have to address that.
      Overall Impression...
I was impressed with it on the trails, and it is a good utility vehicle for working around the property. Considering what I paid for it I am very happy with its performance.

I am putting a new primary and secondary clutch into a 2021 Sector 750. It is rarely used, only 350 miles, brought brand new and lost the CVT belt and I can't figure out why. In the first picture is the primary I removed.

I received the new primary and it has a retaining ring around the outer edge. Does this make a difference?

      Hello All...
Just bought a 2014 Massimo 500 UTV.  It;s not running at the moment, but hopefully will soon.  I need a seat for it also (passenger side, if it makes any difference.)  It is a crank-but no start situation.  Just now starting to read the boards for solutions.  Apparently these models are well known for this issue.  If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to chime in, it would be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

I have a Coleman HS400UTV-5 got it manly for hunting and spending time with the grandkids
The one problem I am trying to avoid. My son borrowed it last summer and said it ran hot so he added water to it . I do not know how much he put in so I would like to drain most of it and add new coolant to protect it this winter. I can find no drain cock or any way of draining it besides loosening a hose.  Any suggestions ????
