The Coleman (Hisun) 400 does not have enough power to plow snow; and attempting to do so would most likely destroy the drive train in short order.

cliffyk, just curious.......why do you say the coleman 400 doesn't have enough power to plow snow, if a snow plow could be located?...........my mule is a 400, and it does an excellent job plowing...........

Mostly the fact that it doesn't. I drove mine over 1500  miles through Florid swamps and back country. It's a capable little beast, however it got bogged down in ale deep thick mud more than once--the drive train would not hold up to the rigors of snowplowing. The Hisun 400 is a recreational vehicle that can hit 45 mph flat out, the mule is a hardcore workhorse utility vehicle--different design goals. My 650 cc Ariens tractor has a small plow but you can't really plow much of anything with it.

I also purchased this plow from Amazon, cost less than $500, got a 5% credit on account and free shipping. Got it in 4 days from Texas to Michigan. Had to cut corners of mounting plate to clear suspension arms. After cutting plate install was about an hour putting all pieces together and getting on the utv. Works GREAT!

Just had our 1st plowable snow for the season here in southern Michigan. After the highway department went thru for the first pass I took the Coleman UT400 with the 5' plow I had installed for its' first journey. We had approx. 4" with ice topping and after the plowing by the highway department is was approx. 8"-10" on the sides of the road. I  put the utv in 4x4, didn't really need it but the machine worked great for me. Don't know how it's going to work in wet deeper snow but for $500 what the hell. Good Luck!

Moldman, Thanks for the update! Glad it worked it for you. Did the engine seem able to be up to the task, or did you feel it needed more power?

Cliffyk, in your opinion where would the failure be in the clutch, clutch cover or the primary clutch? Just trying to get as much info before getting one and have it fail. It would be replacing my 20 year old honda utv that has been bulletproof. I just don't want to spend 15 or 20K just to plow my driveway. Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Shaun B, I purchsaed the above snow plow system that you have listed. I installed it on Friday and got to use it on Sunday. I was plowing 4 inch snow with 10 inch drifts. went through it like butter in 4wd. could of eaily plowed a 10 inch snow. i also put two 70lb bags of sand in the box. it took about 7 hours for this old man to install. I am very pleased with that 6 foot wide plow and it is heavy duty..

I just plowed out of a 24 inch snow here in NE Ohio. I have a double wide 500 foot long driveway and my coleman ate the snow. I was able to clear it in about 20 minutes with snow mounds up to 10 feet. This little machine was a beast out there. Moreover it used my own homemade plow! I'm going to enclose it and add the aftermarket heater assembly. Then I can be nice and toasty plowing our neighbors driveways.

I beg to differ,   I plowed 18 inches of snow in Michigan last week wet & heavy snow.    I had NO problems,   1st time I've actually put it into 4 x 4

I have a Coleman UTV 400 and looking for something to store it in.  Preferably something vinyl or plastic with its own base that can stand alone outside and house the UTV.  I think the dimensions of the UT400 are around 106" long 52" wide and 74" tall.
