I have a 2016 tw400 with the Honda engine. It runs great. Is there a way to get the gas pedal to press easier? It is really stiff. Like the spring in just real stiff. Same thing with pulling out the choke cable.

First thing i would try is lubing  the ends of both cables with WD40, it will creep down the cable eventually. i would also try disconnecting the cable(s) from what they hook too and move the choke and throttle by hand, and see if if they move easy or not.

Do you know the model of the honda engine? But before blaming the carburetor, i would remove the spark plug and look at the electrode end, if it's really dark/black. that would verify the carburetor is running too rich.

Also, the previous owner put an after market carb on here. It seem to run really rich. You smell gas strongly while riding. What can I adjust to make it better?

The plug is really black. It is a Honda GX 390 engine.

I'm no help with the Honda engine.  Could be the float ora stuck needle valve. Does it have an electric fuel pump. That could be too much pressure for that carb.

It could be a fault in the carb, a lot of the aftermarkets aren't very strict on quality control. the main jet could be oversized a few thousandths and that would affect running.

The only adjustments on these Honda carbs, besides the Idle speed adjustment, is the Mixture screw on the side of it, Some of these have them, some of them don't.

If your carb has this adjustment screw, the proper way to set it is to warm the engine up, and adjust that screw in or out, until the engine reaches it's highest Idle RPM, that's where the engine is getting the most fuel. you can turn the screw in about 1/16 to 1/8 of a turn that will lean the mixture out just a little bit. you may now need to readjust the  idle RPM with the plastic screw on top of the carb.

If it still runs rich after this, most likely there is a issue with the aftermarket carb, i had a problem finding a carb to fit the GX390 on my pressure washer, i finally bought a OEM Honda carb.

I have a 2017 Intimidator XD4 800cc 4x4.  It will run great and then it's like it goes into safe mode and only runs on 1 cylinder.  It's not fouling out the plug when it happens.  Some times when I stop and restart it, it works fine.  First I thought it was a spark issue, then a fuel issue, but I feel like it's a short in the wiring some place.

I swapped out the Subaru motor for a Predator 670cc. If I remove the heat shield around the muffler, The stock muffler sits in there just fine with 1" to spare.
Only problem is the exhaust exit is toward the back seat instead of out the back.
Do you all think that the stock exhaust would be okay (just as effective) if cut a hole and welded a pipe on the reversed (opposite) end? Of course, plug the old exit end. Other option I thought of was to roll a tube 180° with a 7" center line radius and finish extention of 12" or so.
      Any thoughts?

Can anyone tell me how to get the engine codes to display on a 2012 Bennche Bighorn 700X?  I played with the gauges once and lucked up on this but can't remember what I did.  Will the codes automatically display if there is a code or do you have to cycle through the display?

We have replaced the relay/fuse, water pump, fan & radiator cap. What are we missing? Fan still won't kick on.
