Also as cam picture shows, the left cam lock appears not to be in phase with the right one.

Looks a bit bent too. Is that peening on the hook on the left in that first picture ?

Ok, sad news is I removed head and it turn out it is one complete sealed unit. Found one on line for $400. Tried turning the cam to see if valves open and close but to no avail. 1/4 turn on cam phaser in each direction but not any further.

That's a lot of stuff under that cover. Seems likely that at least a couple, and probably most of those parts would have to nest together, with one inside the other. Maybe you missed one, requiring it to be indexed, and it's not fully seated?

If you got spark and fuel and assuming that the timing hasn't changed it appears to me that you have a exhaust valve too tight, adjust the valves.  If you have tight valves an engine has a hard time starting and yes when it is running you will get popping.  When you take of the valve cover you can check the timing as well but my guess is that your valves have tighten up.

2010 Hisun 500 - Carbed'.  She sat for about 3 weeks since last use.  Couldn't get it started.... has spark but plug was not wet.  Bought new plug, cleaned the carb, confirmed fuel pump (pulse type) is working.  Still nothing.  Put gas in the plug hole.... started right up and idled as normal and drove perfect.  Used it for the rest of the day without issue.  Tried to start again next morning.... same problem.  Poured gas in plug hole again.... started up and best kind again.
Anyone have any insight to what's going on?

Hi I'm about to order parts to do a bunch of work on my Massimo. Does anyone know if there's a difference in the top end kit {piston, Cylinder, Rings, Gaskets, Piston Pin} if it has a carb or EFI? I'm EFI and I think some came with a carb so I thought i'd ask before making a mistake...
      Thanks Jerr

Recently, my unit Axis 500 (2020) will only go into reverse and neutral. I am not able to get high or low. The engine itself sounds fine and I do not have other issues on this unit. I change the engine oil but have not yet changed the gear oil.
Before this happened I occasionally encountered issue where going from reverse to high gear, it would grind some and i had to reposition to shift into high gear. I also for last couple weeks heard a squeaking sound. I couldn't tell what it was. Was looking for a grease point I missed.
The unit has around 70 hours and is kept in the garage.
Anyone else encounter this type of scenario? Any suggestions on troubleshooting would be appreciated. Thanks.

Was using the machine all day to haul wood...no issues until the end...
When I try to start it, the dash lights come on but starter does not...seems like no power to the starter.
It is in park, but when I put the brake on to start, it registers N.
      Won't start in neutral either...
Tried rocking it, did not help...
      Help...
