Well i finally bought a NEW muffler for ol' Red. and Boy she sure is quiet now! You can hold a conversation, or talk on the phone with it idling. and much smoother sounding at full throttle. I like it!

i finally found one on Rocky Mountain ATV for 165 with Tax. cheapest place i found. Of course not every project goes fine and dandy, the bottom bolt where the inlet to the exhaust bolts to the exhaust pipe (seen left hand side of picture) , the 10mm bolt rounded off... couldn't get my rounded bolt miracle socket too it, so i took my air hammer and put a chisel bit in it, chiseled a cross in it, and then chiseled up from the bottom, doing that broke the head off and the bolt knocked right out with a few light taps from a punch. I put anti seize on the new hardware.

      As with any forum you join, there is a requirement for an obligatory introduction... and that seems fair. How else do you get that first post in there without jumping in with some stupid question right out of nowhere?

      Hi. I'm Space Ghost. Well, not really, but that was my call sign on my last deployment before an IED made me non-deployable, and I an now retired/disabled, and living on my wonderful VA disability. I did almost 28 years in total between the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard. 1 deployment with the Reserve (Desert Storm) and 3 with the Guard (1 pre, and 2 post 9/11)

      Married (going on 30 years) one of each. (both out of the nest)
       
      Just picked up my first side by side a couple days ago. A 2020 Can-Am Defender HD10 DPS 6x6. 

       
      It's in pretty good shape, but as you can probably tell, it's sitting a bit high. Former owner put a lifting collar on the shocks. 

       
      The good = almost 17" of ground clearance. (30" tires) 
      The bad = incredibly steep driveline angles, and a pretty stiff ride. 
       
      They will be coming off. 
       
      Other than that... clean as a pin and appears very well maintained. 
       
      Looking forward to seeing what this forum can bring, and hoping I can bring something in return.

      I just purchased a 2024 Bad Boy Bandit 750 but the owners manual is somewhat confusing , does anyone know what kind of oil I should use ? Manual say something about wet brake oil which I am totally unfamiliar with ! Any help will be greatly appreciated !

      UT400 cutting out mid throttle

      Have an issue all the sudden where the UTV will cut out randomly mid range throttle and under load.  Light consistent throttle on fairly flat ground no problems.  If you quickly change throttle position sometimes it will bog down and cut out, splutter, etc.  Floor it or let off and it may do just fine.  Going up a hill and adding more throttle as the incline demands, will cut out splutter and smell unburnt fuel.  So far doesn't ever completely quit.  If you let off it will idle just fine.  A lot of times if you floor it, it will pick up and even get a boost of power.  Changed to a slightly hotter plug to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't .  Any ideas what might be going on and what to try next?
