instrument panel rubber gasket falling down

Recommended Posts

it looks like the rubber gasket that is used to weather proof the main instruments ( signal light, speedometer , tachometer, etc) on my Coleman 400 UTV that I purchased in the fall of 2021 is falling down across the instruments. This is obsuring all of the indications at the top and is now affecting the operation of the tachometer since it forms the circle around the tach.  Anyone else had this problem? is this something that I can take apart and fix or is this something that is sealed?

That sounds like it should be a warranty Issue. If that's not working out, then you'll need to look to see if you can access the back of the dashboard.

From there, you should be able to see how to remove the speedometer cluster assembly.

Even if the assembly is permanently sealed shut, it can still be opened, if you're careful.

starts up you have keep rpms up for 5 minutes till it warms up then runs fine. But if it stalls wont start unless you unplug fuel pump and hold it to the floor till it starts then plug pump back in and run it till it warms up then it is fine all day.

      Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a UTV windshield that can withstand extreme conditions, including high winds, dust, and off-road impacts.
I’ve seen a lot of options out there, but I’m unsure which one will provide the best protection and durability.
Does anyone have experience with windshields that excel in these environments? Are there specific brands or materials you recommend?
I’m particularly interested in options that offer both durability and clarity.
Any tips or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
