Flat bed hasn't posted for quite a while. Does anybody know if everything is alright? I miss seeing his post. He is one of the real sharp people we have here and the forum benifits a lot from people like him.

hi everyone, i have been very busy with work, My dad got real sick, to the point they called the family to Kingman Az because they thought he was not going to make it. He is doing alot better now. If you are old and you catch pneumonia you need to go to the doctor, if you don't your blood turns to poisn and shuts your body organs down. Thats like un pluging the spark plugs and pluging the exhaust, not good.

I have been spending alot of time working on my Model a ford, I cut the car in half from front to back, made the car 8" wider. channeled the car 4" built a custom frame that is also wider. It has a big block chevy with a 400 trans and a 9" rear-end. there is a car show at the end of may that i am trying to make.

I just ask the wife about the camping trip, i think it will depend how much i have done on the model a.

Just briefley read some of the topics on the board, one is power steeering, My model a has a big block with rack and pion steering, it turns fairly easy, we might just need a better rack and pion with a little different gearing, on fuel issues looking at the regulator tells you how much preasure is in the system at idle, if it is like mine you can not see it when you are driving. The best way to check is take the line off and make sure you have alot of flow. If the pump gets something in the suction screen it plugs the pump, you can still get preasure but no flow to keep preasure against the injectors.

there is a place in san diego called southland clutch. they can build any kind of clutch

you want, change pads and adjust spring preasure on the preasure plate

I will stay in touch alittle more now that family life is getting back to normal.

Good to see you back flatbed, family always comes 1st, then work, then projects and after that time on the puta if there's any left, whoops I forgot time with the better half and the kids in-between. Keep posting about your Chevy Ford too if no body else minds.

Cheers Mike

I have a 2018 cub cadet challenger 750 I bought brand new almost 2 years ago the first month I had it the exhaust broke and burnt the spark plug wire in two that was a recall so the dealership installed the new one it had a different design and it bolted up to the bottom two plugs below the spark plug the dealership said they had to Adjust the exhaust valves I get the machine back thanking everything is good now wrong not even a week after I get it back the timing chain tensioner comes apart inside the motor I take it back to the dealership They put one on I get the machine back thanking everything is good but then just like before not even a week goes by when I was riding the Machine automatically quits going come to find out the wet clutch was burned up the primary clutch head stripped off of the splines I get that fixed and then  it overheats I take it back they bleed the air out of the coolant they bring it back to me the same day that I get it back it overheats again I take it back they temporarily fix it again just enough to let the warranty run out and now the machine has been to multiple different mechanics I have had them try to bleed the air out they have stood it up on its end I have had the water pump changed I have had the fan hooked to a switch so I could leave it on all the time but still almost 2 years later not even 200 hours on the machine and I cannot ride it The dealership will not take it back as a lemon I have tried I am at my wits end I have no clue what to try next

The conversion took about 350lbs. off the vehicle.  It never rode great, but now I feel every  crack in the road.  I have backed off spring compression nut to the point just under where they would move around if suspension was at full extension, but it is still very stiff.  I would like to put some softer coilover springs on it, but I have no idea what the spring rate is with the original springs so I would just be guessing on what to order.  Does anyone have the data for the original spring compression rate?  I am willing to give up a little ground clearance for a softer ride. Right now when sitting still the rear suspension is at or near full extension and the rear tires have several degrees of camber which will cause uneven wear if allowed to continue in this state.

Good afternoon. When the timing chain came off its lower gear (previous owner had over-tightened the tensioner), I ordered new parts.. chain, oil-pump chain, tensioner etc.. But now that it's time to put it back together, the main crankshaft makes a clang noise and stops when you turn it by hand. I want to solve this before assembling everything. The camshaft cover is off so that the valves aren't being activated. Should the transmission be in neutral to turn the crankshaft? The engine was running fine until the chain came off the lower gear. Then it would spin when the starter motor engaged so I assumed the crankshaft was spinning. Any advice is appreciated.

I have a 2020 Tracker 800SX LE that I bought new in 2020.  Yesterday I noticed two cracks in the bed on the inside corners at the tailgate end.  They go all the way through.   I use it around the property moving firewood, dirt and stuff.  Never put stress on the sides of the bed.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Is there a fix?  Help!!!
