2022 Hisun Sector Engine oil strainer maintenance

I was browsing through the service manual and saw that the engine oil strainer is scheduled to be cleaned at the 20 hour mark. I’m wondering where is this located and is it different from the oil filter which I’m assuming it is. Just can’t find it on the machine. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

On my 2021 Axis 500 UTV, (similar to Hisun 500), the oil strainer was under the oil drain plug, along with a spring which surprised me when they came flying out when I removed the plug.

Hey Curt, that makes total sense for it to be in that location. Why they use a strainer and not a magnetic drain plug, you got me. Glad to finally get the answer and be aware of what’s going to happen when I remove the plug. Still don’t understand the strainer reasoning but at least I know.

It works okay in low unless I'm trying to power it up a hill and then it slips.., Ordered a new belt and went to change it and found a good bit of oil in the belt housing.       Help! Hub safety-hour meter switch problem

      2002 ranger 500 4x4 stopped running and wouldn't restart. Service manual wiring diagram helped identify the hub safety switch as the culprit. Using jumper wires to bypass  switch allowed the engine to start and run normally. Inspection of switch showed melted epoxy and a strong smell of burnt electrical. Unable to find replacement part either used or new. Is there a work around other than jumper wiring?

      I have a 2017 Intimidator XD4 800cc 4x4.  It will run great and then it's like it goes into safe mode and only runs on 1 cylinder.  It's not fouling out the plug when it happens.  Some times when I stop and restart it, it works fine.  First I thought it was a spark issue, then a fuel issue, but I feel like it's a short in the wiring some place.

      I swapped out the Subaru motor for a Predator 670cc. If I remove the heat shield around the muffler, The stock muffler sits in there just fine with 1" to spare.
      Only problem is the exhaust exit is toward the back seat instead of out the back.
      Do you all think that the stock exhaust would be okay (just as effective) if cut a hole and welded a pipe on the reversed (opposite) end? Of course, plug the old exit end. Other option I thought of was to roll a tube 180° with a 7" center line radius and finish extention of 12" or so.
      Any thoughts?
